Traveller from St Helens stayed in May,2008
Guest Comment:
the hotel is a 15-20 minute walk to Palma city centre but buses and taxis are just at the end of the road so very convenient. The hotel is very clean although the sun deck area is in need of a little refurbishment.
Staff were friendly and accommodating, rooms fairly basic. Would say good 3* plus.
Top Tip:
Take the no 3 bus at the end of the road to the beachy cove at Illetes. Nice restaurants nearby too.
Bar Abaco - definately worth a walk round to see the feted displays of fruit & veg but not sure about the €15.00 charge per cocktail...
Eduardo's Fish Restaurant - recommended by the travel guides but very ordinary - would spend your money else where.
For a steak El Rancho Argentinian was great and generally the local wines are excellent value for money.
Take time to sit and watch the world go by at one of the many cafes in the old quarter, great way to spend a spare hour or so
and finally - take the train and swim-suit to Soller / Port Soller... probably 1/2 day visit if you're not going to take the sun & waters at Port Soller.
