We arrived at the hotel - no booking!Fortunately, the hotel reception manager (Alicia)was extremely helpful and found us another hotel nearby - better quality we think - she was very professional and friendly. Top marks for her, bottom marks for justonehotel.

Well placed on edge of old town but rooms quiet. Well appointed with its own cafe.
Comfortable and helpful.
Reasonable price, but Mallorca now quite expensive.
Top Tip
Old town well worth a wander. Good shops open early evening. Cathedral worth a visit. Definitely worth going on the 'old' train from Palma through the mountains to Soller.
Very frequent, good bus service araound town

Track down the ABACO Bar in Palma, it's near the Calle de Montenegro. It's surreal.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Jaime iii and would definitely return. The hotel is in an excellent location and the room was funky, roomy and had a balcony with a pleasant city view. The breakfast was excellent and so was the evening meal, albeit limited. Didn't like the fact that you had to pay to use the safe in your room. I thought for a 4 star hotel this was a bit of a con! The jacuzzi was pleasant but only having 1 lift in such a big hotel is a minus.

Perfect location, easy to get to old town and smart shops in the new town and the sea front - great hotel !
Top Tip
Visit the Cappuccino restaurants - one near the cathedral for coffee etc - very elegant - as is the San Miguel. Take the wooden train to Soller - great fun.

Room was very clean but a bit characterless. Room at front of hotel would be better - ours overlooked an area surrounded by other buildings that was very dull.
Top Tip
You must visit Abaco on Calle Sant Joan, but try not to find out too much about it before you get there. Opens at 20:00 and only does (expensive) drinks, but what a wow factor and best as a shock to the expectation! Hotel is well sited for a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance, especially El Pion and C'an Carlos. Avoid Aramis - expensive and menu far too rich.
