Hotel was good itself, I was asked to give a credit card number for damages on arrival, first time ever I've had to do that! We were then asked if we wanted to pay €100.00 extra to have a sea view room. Can't we get that with the money we paid? it was october and the hotel was near empty. BAR - bar waiter walked off when he saw us coming for a drink and we couldnt get served, bar had zero atmosphere but we had a great time at the Costa Azul bar just a little down the street.
Top Tip
Costa Azul Hotel bar Great.
Walk up to Bellver Castle well worthwhile, hire some push bikes cycle tracks are very good. best tapas we found at la cuave in old town.

I found the rooms to be spacious and clean, the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of food with almost every type of egg you could ask for, the pool was extremely clean and the towels provided by the hotel was a nice additional touch.
Checking out, the staff could not have been more accomodating or pleasant - we had a late flight and they looked after our luggage and gave us a room to shower in late afternoon - something many hotels would not consider or would at least try t charge you for!
Drink prices are reasonable at the hotel compared to many bars outside it!!
All in all a very impressive hotel and we will definitely be staying there again.

It was between the old town and castle, located on the marina, just a 10-15 min walk into the old town but a very pleasant one at that for a good selection of restaurants. There were some more lovely restaurants near the hotel (turn right) at very good prices (try La Villa for excellent value, avoid the nearby Irish bar for over the top prices!).
Taxis are always outside the hotel however the bus service to the airport was excellent, only 2 euros each and the stop is directly opposite the hotel.

Excellent hotel - breakfasts to die for! Service good although we had to chivvy up staff there for an extra pillow which arrived the day before we went home. My only real gripe is that on arrival we were asked if we would like to pay an extra 20Euro for a sea/cathedral view - we were under the impression that we had already booked this and maybe the wording describing the hotel was a bit ambiguous regarding balconies etc.

Lots of good restaurants in Palma town; didn't try hotel for dinner but guess that it would be first class. We ventured out one day to Palma Nova/Magaluf....grim place to visit - heaving with Brits..say no more! Bus tour was worth going on but the guide recording was inaudible and mind the trees alongside the road as they badly need a trim if you are sitting on the top deck of the bus - or be decapitated!
