Great Location, small, clean beach right in front of hotel. Food better some days than others. Wine in restaurant expensive. Pleasant staff. rooms dated but spotless. Only Spanish and German TV channels.
Top Tip
Buy 10 journey bus ticket to get into city (E8). bus stop just up from hotel. walk to Joan Miro Museum, 15 mins. Get into Palma early, before the cruise ship crowd swamps the city!

The Santa Ana was not open (April), so we were transferred to the hotel next door; Playa Cala Mayor. The rooms were spacious, with a great view out to sea. The choice of food was good. We felt that it was good value for money. Not really 4* more like 3*.

Cala Mayor was well served by buses going into Palma city. The trip on the Soller train was great fun, we took the 210 scenic bus back through the windy mountain roads. Getting back to the airport was easy during the day, No 3 to Place d' Espana then the No 1 to the airport.

We did not stay at the Santa Ana as it was closed. We only found this out on arrival late in the evening and were not informed before arrival. We phoned and were moved to another hotel. The fact of not being informed we think was very bad service.
Top Tip
The area is good and travel into the city easy with regular bus service.
Good beach and local restaurants.
Easy to get to from airport. Airport bus to end of line then on local bus number 3.

Hotel a bit tired and food not very inspiring. Reasonably quite at night. On nice beach. remote from Palma, not much going on locally, so be prepared for daily bus rides into Palma.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Of a four day short break, we had no alternative but to check out less than 20hrs after check in. The accommodation is a throwback to the 1970s, the room felt like a prison cell, with equivalent furniture and bathroom suite, the staff were rude and un-helpful, the noise was constant throughout the night, from both people outside the hotel and the other residents and the general security poor. We never got chance to sample the food but to be honest would not have risked it!This hotel could only be considered 1 Star at best. When I booked the hotel I was not expecting the Hilton or Ritz for the price I paid, however, I know the acceptable standard of 3 Star accommodation and Hotel Santa Ana fell a long way short!!!

Good Hotel. Had two lifts but always there was at least one that was not working. Rooms need either ceiling fan or air conditioning installing.

The hotel was in dire need of a makeover, as it seemed not to have received any attention since sometime during the 70's. The room itself was very basic, although it was clean enough.
The food wasn't the best I've eaten & luckily we found somewhere nearby that was decent, cheap & cheerful for lunch.
However, on a brighter note, it's location next to the beach was a big plus & the hotel staff were friendly enough.

The Hotel suited our needs ideally. A base by the sea for a short early season visit with easy access to Palma. Hotel staff were very helpful - eg extending our checkout time.

We didn't stay in Cala Mayor but went into Palma each day -taxi fare 8-10 euros. Palma Cathedral. Old Town & Soller train trip all worth doing.
